Fairies have been believed in and have existed in some form for as long as humans have been here. Seen usually as elemental energies, seasonal helpers to the deities, nature spirits or as demigods, they have been the subject of much human speculation, fear and folklore.
Fairies inhabit the astral realm known as Faeryland, a place that is both within and yet outside of our world. This plane has also been called the astral plane, the inner plane, the ethereal world, an alternate universe and a parallel universe. And its elusive inhabitants have been known by many names, among them angels and demons, elementals and imaginary beings, ghosts and fairies.
